An Exciting Mixed Use Development in Downtown Franklin

Franklin Center Commons I & II is a mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Franklin. This is the largest smart growth development in the state of Massachusetts. It is a $28 million initiative to include a total of four buildings, three of which will be mixed use. The entire project is located in downtown Franklin within walking distance to the commuter rail.
     

Franklin Center Commons I

The FCC I complex includes three buildings on over 2-acres of land located between Summer and Cottage Streets off of East Central Street (Route-140).

Building One is located at 9 Summer Street and is comprised of office and retail space.

“Building Two, 15 Summer Street, is a residential only building with 27 units of modern, single level living designs. All units come with central air, hydro air heating system, parking garage, elevator and a trash room on each floor. Condo fees include heat, hot water, water, sewer, trash, landscaping, exterior maintenance and interior common area maintenance. Building Three is 12-26 East Central Street (Route-140) and will be comprised of retail space on the first floor and 30 residential condos on floors 2 and 3. Construction of this building is currently on hold.. The photo here is of the existing structure as of 10/12/2010. The Red Ball that can be seen above the roof line in the photo to the left will be the height of the new building.

 


Franklin Center Commons II

This building, located at 17-33 East Central Street, was completed in January 2008 and has twenty residential condos occupied by Dean College students.
